Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born on the 15th of September 1915 in Ogden Utah. Fawn MCKAY, who was raised in the Mormon Church's First Family, employed her creative talents and skills in researching to produce an intriguing psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 with the title: No Man knows My History, she used both. The title comes from the funeral sermon of Joseph Smith who was the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. He shocked his audience by declaring: "You don't even know my name. It's been a long time since you've seen my heart." No one has ever been told about my story. It's impossible for me to reveal it. Fawn (29 year old) stated that in the time since her moment of candor Three hundred writers have responded to the occasion. Many have abhorred him and others have glorified. A few have even made a diagnosis. It's not that documents aren't there, it's that they are so contradictory. It's not an easy job to find these records, separating first-hand accounts from the third-hand versions and then combining Mormon stories with other ones to form a cohesive collage. It is fascinating and informative. FawnBrodie dedicated herself to this career path. Thaddeus Stewards, which was the product from her writing and study, made her a world known writer. The Devil's Drive (1959) The Slaughter of the South. Thomas Jefferson. A personal biography of Richard Nixon (1974) as also the posthumously Richard Nixon.
